Philanthropy and Service
Philanthropy vs Service
There's a lot of confusion about the difference between philanthropy and service, so let's talk about it. Philanthropy is the act of donating money to an organization so they may complete their goals and service is donating time or resources. At Zeta Theta Pi, we do both!

Philanthropy
Our main philanthropic organization is St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. We hold various fundraisers and events throughout the year which benefit St. Jude. We participate in ISU's Up 'til Dawn event and often make cards to send to the children and families at St. Jude.
Service
Zeta Theta Pi prides itself on being a local service sorority, so what we do is centered around local charities and events. We volunteer at various large-scale fundraisers including the Bloomington Polar Plunge and the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. We also volunteer at the Midwest Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, and the School Street Food Pantry. Sisters are required to do a small amount of individual service hours each semester but there are lots of opportunities to give back and have fun doing it!
